Amanah Tech Inc.
Power, protect, and connect.
We own the data centers. We own the infrastructure. We answer the phone. Amanah started in 2001 with one server and a storage room. Today we run two owned data centers at 151 Front Street West, the most connected address in Canada, and we have never been acquired, merged, or moved.

Our Mission
Why we exist.
Amanah’s mission is to provide affordable colocation and dedicated servers to small and medium-sized businesses. Enterprise-grade infrastructure should not require enterprise-sized budgets, multi-year lock-ins, or US-owned parent companies handling Canadian data.
For 2026, our focus is cloud repatriation helping businesses move workloads off expensive hyperscalers back onto bare metal they control, at predictable monthly prices, in a Canadian facility they can walk into.
Power
N+1 redundant power with UPS and diesel backup. Multiple independent failure points so no single event takes you offline.
Protect
Canadian data residency. Multi-factor physical access. 24/7 on-site security. Your data stays in Canada under Canadian law.
Connect
400+ carriers in-building. TORIX peering. 100Gbps unmetered uplinks. Canada’s most connected address.
25 years. Six chapters.
One building we never left.
Six decisions, each bigger than the last. This is the story of how a one-person operation in Saskatchewan became the infrastructure backbone for businesses worldwide.
One storage room.
One person.
Nezar Freeny was a Computer Science student at the University of Saskatchewan when he started Amanah Tech with a single Cobalt server, a storage room, and seed funding from the Canada Youth Business Foundation. No team. No office. Just the conviction that reliable infrastructure should be within reach of any business.
changed everything.
Four years after starting in a storage room, Amanah had outgrown Saskatchewan entirely. Nezar moved the company to Suite 341 at 151 Front Street West in downtown Toronto, Canada's most connected building. The address that every serious carrier, cloud provider, and network operator calls home. Amanah never left.
to go 100TB.
When VPN providers and bandwidth-intensive businesses needed more than anyone in Canada was offering, Amanah built it first. The country's first 100TB dedicated servers put Amanah on the map globally and made 151 Front Street West the address of choice for any business that moved serious data.
at 1 Yonge Street.
Amanah acquired the Cogeco-Peer1 facility at 1 Yonge Street the Toronto Star building, at the start of the world's longest street. For a decade, two owned downtown data centers ran side by side, connected by private dark fiber. The 1 Yonge location was decommissioned in 2025 as the building became part of Pinnacle's Toronto waterfront development. We wish the project and the neighborhood every success.
what comes next.
As 1 Yonge Street was decommissioned, Amanah had already prepared what came next. TOR2 opened on the 6th floor of 151 Front Street West: half a megawatt of redundant power, over 100 tons of Enwave deep lake cooling, built for AI, dense compute, and the infrastructure demands of the next decade. All under one roof.
We are the alternative.
The hyperscaler era is not ending. But for businesses tired of unpredictable egress fees, shared environments, and support tickets that go unanswered, Amanah is the alternative. Dedicated hardware. Fixed costs. A real person who knows your setup.

Our Founder
Built from nothing.
On purpose.
Nezar Freeny has led Amanah since the day he founded it. No outside investors. No board telling him what to prioritize. No acquisition that changed what the company stands for. That independence is not an accident it is a deliberate choice that shows up in how Amanah is priced, how support is handled, and who picks up the phone.
Twenty-five years in, the company is still privately held, still Canadian-owned, and still run by the person who started it. Clients who joined in 2005 are still clients today. That kind of retention does not come from contracts. It comes from trust.

Our Values
What guides every decision.
Amanah means trust. Not as a brand promise as a daily practice. These four values show up in how we price a plan, how we answer a ticket at 2am, and how we handle a problem when something goes wrong.
01
Trust above all
Amanah means trust in Arabic. Every client relationship is built on it. We do not oversell, over-promise, or bury important terms in fine print.
02
Affordability for everyone
Enterprise infrastructure should not require an enterprise budget. We exist to give small and medium businesses access to the same quality of data center that large corporations rely on.
03
Agility as a practice
Our ability to adapt and align with what clients actually need rather than what fits a pre-packaged plan is what sets us apart. We move fast and stay flexible.
04
Canadian ownership, Canadian data
No US parent company. No foreign ownership structure. Amanah is incorporated and operated in Canada. When regulators ask where your data lives, the answer is simple: Ontario.
Compliance
Standards and certifications.
Amanah operates under Canadian law with physical infrastructure entirely within Ontario. For businesses in regulated industries, we can provide documentation to support your compliance review.
SOC 2
Security, availability, and confidentiality controls independently audited annually.
ISO 27001
International standard for information security management systems. Certified.
PIPEDA
Canadian federal privacy law. Data stays in Canada.
PHIPA
Ontario health data compliance for healthcare platforms.
In Arabic, Amanah describes the faithful discharge of a responsibility a covenant between parties, a pledge to honour what has been entrusted to you. It is not a word chosen for branding. It is the operating principle the company was built on in 2001, and the one it runs on today.
"Trust is not just a buzzword at Amanah. It is a lived experience that permeates every aspect of our operations from how we price a plan to how we respond at 3am when something is wrong."
